Staircase Strider
Staircase StriderGridwalkers · the coordinate plane, slope and lines

Walks a staircase of rise and run: slope.

Slope

Slope. In MathBound, the free Algebra I adventure game, Staircase Strider asks these problems, and the only way past is to solve them.

Part of Functions: chapter 4 of the standard course.

10 questions, no sign-up, nothing saved. Climbs from the basics to harder questions.

What you will practice

  • Identify from Graph. Find the positive slope of a line from a graph using rise over run.
  • Calculate from Points. Use the slope formula to find the slope between two points with positive coordinates.
  • Graph using Point and Slope. Graph a line given a starting point and a positive fractional slope.
  • Horizontal and Vertical Slopes. Identify the slope of a horizontal line as zero (y-values are the same).
